The 2nd Annual Dixie Film Festival concluded Saturday evening annoucing the
Official winners for the 2005 Season.

Complete List of Winning Films:

Emmy Award-Winning Director Arthur Seidelman walked away with three awards including

BEST FILM: THE SISTERS,
OUTSTANDING ACTOR IN A FILM: ERIC MCCORMACK, and
OUTSTANDING ACTRESS IN A FILM: MARIA BELLO.


Atlanta Filmmakers Ethan Segal and Joseph Saunders took home the Mason-Dixon Award for Oustanding Georgia Filmmaker with their film VIETNAM LIGHT which screened Friday night

St. Louis Filmmakers Jim Ousley and Oscar Madrid swept up Outstanding Original Story/Screenplay and Best Law Enforcement for their Comedy-Mockumentary HOOCH & DADDY-O.

Former Athens native, now Brooklyn Filmmaker Powell Weaver took home Best Short Film and Outstanding Actor in a Comedy for his film I KILLED ZOE DAY.

All in all eleven awards were handed out including Winston-Salem, N.C. based Out of Our Minds Animation Studios' Best Animation win for their political satire JOYRIDE
