Determined to marry his true love despite her mother’s intervention a woodsman will stop at nothing to win the affection of his lover’s heart forever. Inspired from L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, Whitestone Motion Pictures retells the little known tragic love story of the Tin Woodsman.
Based on the backstory of one of the most beloved children’s novel of all time comes the extraordinarily love story between a simple woodsman and a beauty maiden. Not having many possessions but wanting to marry the maiden, the woodsman sets his heart to build a large beautiful cabin. The maiden desires to be with woodsman regardless of his possessions, but the woodsman insists this is the only way her rich mother will approve of him. Determined to stop the union of her only daughter and the woodsman, the maiden’s mother seeks the help of a powerful wizard. Cursed by the wizard’s evil spell the woodsman enlists the aid from a local tinner that enables him to continue his labor. The woodsman will stop at nothing to finish the log cabin for his love even if it costs him his very heart.
L. Frank Baum wrote The Tin Woodman of OZ as a back-story to the Wonderful Wizard of OZ.
