Set in rural America a father discovers his young daughter dead of fever. While composing himself he decides to hide the girl in the barn so he may prepare his wife for dire news. But after approaching his wife in the kitchen he is unable to face her with the death of their child.

The Father decides to bury the girl secretly, thereby giving his wife the gift of a few hours before her life will be forever altered.

The Father, Unblinking is a story of how two people deal with the death of their child and their inability to communicate their feelings and thoughts with each other.
